PHYSIOTHERAPY THERAPY SERVICES

CHRONIC PAIN
Chronic pain is pain that continues for longer than 12 weeks despite using medications or receiving treatment. Although most people return to normal after injury or an operation, sometimes the pain can continue for longer periods or can even onset without any history of injury.
Physiotherapy can help people with chronic pain to improve their function and quality of life.
Our approach at Got To Get Balanced is to treat the whole body, not just an isolated injury. We offer a variety of personalised, one-on-one treatments to ensure our patient's long-term health and wellness.

SPORTS INJURY
Sports injuries are injuries that occur as a result of sports, athletic activities or exercising. You don't have to be a professional athlete to suffer a sports-related injury.
This pathological process interrupts the individual's ability to continue with physical activity, it can affect almost any part of the body and may include areas such as muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments.
We take the time to understand the root of your problem and the specific factors associated to provide the best and most effective treatment. With cutting-edge equipment, clinical expertise and dedicated care, you’ll be taking your first steps towards your recovery.

WORK INJURY
At Got To Get Balanced, we hear your story and take a detailed note of your medical history. From there we create an individualised treatment plan aimed at achieving the functional goals we set together.
We have a trained specialist occupation health physiotherapist that is experienced in managing muscular skeletal disorders that relate to the working environment. The aim is to understand the individual needs of each patient and develop a bespoke service based on these needs.
The aim is to reduce muscular skeletal risk, associated sickness and absence, improve patient well-being and optimise a return to work strategy.

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Shockwave therapy has become widely popular as it is clinically proven to provide fast and effective results.
Shockwave therapy is an evidenced-based treatment that involves passing low-energy pressure waves into damaged tissues to increase blood flow and stimulate repair while reducing pain and allowing your body to restart its own natural healing process.
Shockwave therapy can help with conditions such as:
Plantar Fasciitis
Myofascial pain
Chronic tendinopathies such as; Achilles, Patellar, Elbow, Shoulder and Trochanteric hip pain.
Calcifications
Knee Osteoarthritis
Shockwave therapy is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).
SPORTS MASSAGE
60 minute consultations
During a sports massage the musculoskeletal system (muscles, tendons and ligaments) is manipulated using hands-on techniques in order to improve its efficiency.
Sports massage is proven to release and reduce tension in muscles, improve circulation and encourage the removal of waste products such as lactic acid during high intensity activity and can help to relax the body. All of this helps promote recovery and reduces the chance of muscle injury.
Those who are prone to overuse injuries often benefit from sports massage in between training sessions, as the muscles are allowed to relax and recover fully before the next session.
In addition to the physical benefits, sports massage can help an athlete to mentally prepare for their activity or competition.

Cancelation policy:
We ask that you show us and other patients consideration by calling at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you are unable to attend. Failure to keep your scheduled appointments at the clinic without giving notice hinders our ability to provide the best service to all our patients.
Please call us on 07841112553 or 0141 237 7960 with your cancellation notification, this will allow us the opportunity to offer that appointment to another patient.
Failure to give the 24 hours’ notice will result in a full charge for the appointment of £60.00, for health insurance patients such as Axa PPP and Bupa the session will be deducted from the authorised allowance. If you are claiming for treatment through your medical insurer they will not pay the cancellation charge and you will be liable for this payment. Also we kindly ask that you bring along a copy of your policy schedule showing your excess amount on your policy. This excess is payable to the provider which is the clinic that you are attending and not the insurance provider, this must be paid at the initial consultation. These are part of the clinics terms on accepting new private healthcare patients, we will not proceed with any consultations if you do not agree to these terms.
To help you remember you have an appointment we are in the process of setting up a email/text reminder service. If for some reason you do not receive a reminder email/text this policy will still be enforced. Occasionally there are issues with communication service providers or individuals user settings that are out of our control and we can not account for.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows are disruptive to the optimal delivery of care and service to all our patients. Missed appointments prevent other patients from coming in at the same time and affect the consistency of your own and other patient’s rehabilitation program or service. We reserve the right to cease handling your healthcare at any point should this cancelation policy not be adhered to.
We kindly ask that you respect these terms when making appointments.
*Please note that we operate a paperless system and we no longer accept cheques as a method of payment for any outstanding fee's.
